U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz’s official announcement this week that she is running for governor puts her in the running to become Pennsylvania’s first female Jewish chief executive.
Pennsylvania State Sen. Anthony H. Williams and State Rep. Brendan F. Boyle, neither of whom is Jewish, are trying to pass a law that would make Holocaust and genocide education mandatory for Pennsylvania students grades six through 12.
