Sharon Shapson Imber, of Yardley, PA, and the late Preston Imber and Bruce Solomon and Sandra Sloane of Bensalem, PA, are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Jordan Shane Solomon, to Sara Michelle Goldstein, Esq., daughter of Bruce and Linda Goldstein of Belle Mead, NJ.

Sara graduated with honors from Drexel University‘s Earle Mack School of Law where she received her Juris Doctorate. Sara attended Solomon Schechter Day School of Raritan Valley and later obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Government and Italian Studies from Smith College. Sara is a Health Policy Research Analyst and a Legal Associate at ECRI Institute, a global, independent nonprofit that researches the best approaches to improving patient care. Sara is also a contributor to the’s “Field Clinic,” a blog that reports on and analyzes the laws, government policies, and political trends that are impacting healthcare.  

Jordan graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education in 2011, where he earned a Master’s Degree in education and a Principal’s Certificate. Jordan attended the New England Conservatory of Music and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Temple University. Jordan is a teacher with the School District of Philadelphia and also works as a Director for the Julian Krinsky Group.

Sara is the granddaughter of Evelyn Goldstein, Esq., of Monroe Township, NJ, and the late Ascher Goldstein; and Evelyn Cote of Ludlow, MA, and the late Norman Cote. Jordan is the grandson of Jerry Shapson of Rydal, PA, and the late Faye Shapson; and Jack and Mary Solomon, of Philadelphia, PA.

Sharing in the couple's happiness are Sara's brother, Daniel and Jordan's brother and sister-in-law, Evan and Sarah.

The couple met in May 2011 on “J Date.”

Sara and Jordan live in Philadelphia and are planning a summer 2014 wedding.
