Susan and Richard Friedman of Lancaster, Pa., and Phyllis and Benjamin Jesselson of Jerusalem announce the engagement of their children, Lauren Friedman and Micha Jesselson.

Lauren graduated magna cum laude from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. She is currently studying for a master's degree in public health at Tel Aviv University.

Micha completed his military service in the Givati Brigade of the Israeli Defense Force. He is currently working toward a business degree from the IDC in Hertziliya.

Lauren is the granddaughter of Frances and Sidney Borowsky; and Faye Friedman and the late Stanley Friedman. Micha is the grandson of Michelle and Harold Platt; and the late Erica and Ludwig Jesselson.

The couple, who lives in Israel, is planning a fall wedding in Jerusalem.
