Temple Brith Achim 2019 Scholar-in-Residence Weekend

March 8 @ 7:30 pm - March 10 @ 11:00 am

We are pleased to invite you to attend our exciting Scholar-in-residence Program, March 8-10. This year our scholar is Rabbi Karyn Kedar, an inspirational author, speaker and teacher. She has spent the last three decades exploring the human condition and challenging us to be our own heroes and visionaries. Her presentation is dynamic, thoughtful and motivational, offering insight into the barriers that we let define us, as well as the tools to free ourselves of them.

We have planned a  full weekend of learning. On Friday, please join us for worship at 7:30 p.m. Following services, Kedar will speak at our Oneg Shabbat on “Finding the Path Out of Busyness.”

There will be a Torah study session Saturday 9 a.m., March 9, including a discussion on “Creating Sanctuary Within our Community.”

Later Saturday,  Kedar will speak at 7 p.m. on “The Confusing Landscape of Progressivism, Zionism and Intersectionality.” Dessert and light refreshments will be served.

On Sunday, Kedar will provide a keynote address at 9:15 a.m. on the topic of “Value Based Parenting.”
