Opioid Education & NARCAN Response Training

The opioid epidemic affects so many in our community. It can be hard to know where to turn for reliable information and how to react when we come face-to-face with the crisis. Join JFCS and The Council of Southeast Pennsylvania to learn the facts about opioids and their effect on the human brain, how to recognize and respond to an overdose, and how to administer Narcan in the event of an overdose.

David Fialko is an internationally certified prevention specialist as a well as a certified tobacco treatment specialist and a commissioned FDA officer. He has more than 17 years of experience working in the drug and alcohol and mental health fields in treatment, prevention, cessation and tobacco enforcement.

Cost: Free for general public, $10 for 1 CEU

Free parking in JFCS lot, meter and two-hour parking on surrounding streets. Use the Montgomery Avenue Entrance. Be aware that due to increased security all attendees may be asked to show ID.
