Life in a Jar: The Irena Sendler Project

Life in a Jar: The Irena Sendler Project is a stage production started by three high school students from Kansas chronicling the brave actions of Irena Sendler during the Holocaust.  Sendler was a Polish Catholic social worker who recued over 2,500 Jewish from death during the Holocaust in the Warsaw Ghetto.  She buried the lists of names of the children in a jar in the hopes of reuniting the the children with their parents after WWII.  The production of "Life in a Jar" has toured all over the world, and this will be its premiere performance in Philadelphia.  The performance is on Saturday November 15, 2014 8:00pm at the National Museum of American Jewish History, tickets are $40 per person and can be purchased at Phillyshul.com or call 215-238-2100 for more details
