Jewish Community Networking Night

April 8, 2014 6:00 PM-9:00 PM

Join the Philly AEPi alumni club and friends for a casual happy hour event where you can network with both alumni and local community organizations. We have a great menu and drink specials set up.

Dress well (business casual) to make a good impression and take advantage of our professional photographer who will be onsite taking photos and doing headshots.

Reps from a variety of local Jewish and non-profit groups will be with us this evening so that we can learn about new ways to be involved in the community.

We'll be putting together an optional "networking book" at the event with everyone's professional and contact info to facilitate networking even if you don't get a chance to meet everyone during the event.

Please contact us with any questions, idea or suggestions for charities to invite to participate.

Thank you to our sponsors: The Schusterman FoundationAlpha Epsilon Pi and Purple Lion Web Design.

Tot Shabbat: Congregation Beth Israel in Media will open its doors to non-member families with young children on Friday, February 19 for a “Tot Shabbat” combining play time, food, music, and social action.  The free event, from 5:30 to 7:00, is geared to children from infants up to age six along with parents and family members.  The aim is to help families to relax, enjoy the Sabbath, and make connections with each other and the community.   The evening will include toys, crafts, songs, musical instruments, and a service activity on the theme of “little hands can make a big difference”.   Participants will share a casual kid-friendly meal, congregant-led blessings over bread and wine, a brief story, plus cookies and milk.  Children are welcome to attend in pajamas so parents can easily put them to bed after the event. There is no charge but RVSP is requested to ensure there are enough supplies and food for all attendees.  For more information or to register, call the synagogue at 610-566-4645 or visit https://bethisraelmedia.org/civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=1834.
