Keneseth Israel, founded in March 1847, was the fourth congregation to be established by the expanding Jewish community of Philadelphia. Orthodox in observance at first, KI adopted reform in 1855, and thus became the first progressive congregation

Gala Concert Honoring Maestro Gary Graffman

Reform Congrefation Keneseth Israel presents a gala concert honoring Maestro Gary Graffman on the occasion of his 85th birthday.

Six of Maestro's alumni piano students, now among the world's most acclaimed pianists will perfom in his honor.  These include: Kuok-Wai Lio, Meng-Chieh Liu, Natalie Zhu, Ignat Solzhenitsyn, Haochen Zhang and Yuja Wang.

Also, members of the Philadelphia Orchestra will perform.
