Ethel Morganstein, Teacher, Dies at 98

Ethel Morganstein, 98, the former director of her family’s day camp in Moorestown, N.J., and a teacher in Washington, D.C., died Dec. 28 in Silver Spring, Md.
The former Ethel Mittin, she was born and raised in South Philadelphia, graduating from Philadelphia’s Normal School and the University of Maryland.
In Moorestown, she directed the Mittin Day Camp; and as an elementary school teacher in the Washington, D.C., many of her students were children of the diplomatic corps, senators and congressmen.
She is survived by daughters Gwen Zuares and Judy Gross; a son, Dr. Robert Mitten; her sister-in-law, Nettie Mittin; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
