When a 45-year-old local real estate developer went back to school at Bucks County Community College, he discovered to his dismay that the Hillel student organization on campus had been defunct for about five years. So he immediately sprang into action.
A national nonprofit recently sent eight fellows to Philly as part of a new 10-month long Jewish service-learning program designed to build connections among organizations and encourage others to volunteer.
