Please do your part to bring Gilad Shalit, Ehud "Udi" Goldwasser and Eldad Regev home to their families without delay. Freethesoldiers.org, a joint initiative of United Jewish Communities and other Jewish organizations rallying together to display solidarity with those in captivity, offers the following ways that private citizens can help affect their release.

Add your name to the petition circulating on the Web at: www.freethesoldiers.org, addressed to U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, demanding that the United Nations take immediate action to help secure the freedom of the three kidnapped soldiers.

Order dog-tags bearing the names of each of the soldiers and the dates they were captured. Wear these tags, close to your hearts, as an expression of support for the soldiers and their families until they are returned home.

Urge your representatives in Washington to do all they can to work to secure the release of Israel's kidnapped soldiers. E-mail them or send a letter using the following suggested text: "I urge you, my representative in Washington, to do all that you can to secure the release of the three Israeli soldiers who were taken hostage last summer by two known terror organizations, Hamas and Hezbollah. In particular, I ask that you remember their plight when discussing our country's economic relationships with countries in the Middle East that do have influence with these two groups."
