    Anne Schwartz, who celebrated her 100th birthday this past November, died Thursday, February 13 in Miami, Fl. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she graduated the William Penn High School for Girls in 1930 at the age of 16.


     

    Anne Schwartz, who celebrated her 100th birthday this past November, died Thursday, February 13 in Miami, Fl. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she graduated the William Penn High School for Girls in 1930 at the age of 16. A resident of Feltonville and later Oxford Circle, she worked over the years for Lit Brothers, Gabler's Kiddie Shop and Fleishman's Gift Shop. She was a past president of the sisterhoof of Oxford Circle Jewish Community Center and a past president of chapters of ORT and Hadassah near her home in Tamarac, Fl where she retired  some 40 years ago. She was married to the late Mitchell Schwartz for 67 years and is survived by a daughter, Ellen Roth of Delray Beach, Fl, a son, Jordan of Philadelphia, brother ERWIN NOVAK of Philadelphia, four grandchildren and six great-grand children. A family service was held at Star of David Cemetary in Tamarac.
