Myron Rothaus, 89, beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully, surrounded by friends and family on Friday, April 8, 2016.  Myron worked in the family business, Colonial Floor Covering on Frankford Ave. since he was 13 years old.  After graduating from the Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville, GA, he joined his father in the business full time.  His brother Perry soon joined the business and they were successful in growing Colonial into one of the largest floor covering stores in the region.  Myron’s son Brian joined in 1982 and it was with great pleasure and pride that the two of them were able to work together for over 30 years, eventually moving the business to Feasterville, PA, where Myron continued to work until the very last week of his life.  It was his love of the business and the desire to serve his customers that gave him the strength and drive to get up and go every day.  Myron was married to Rina Rothaus and they had just celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary on March 12.  Myron was an extremely generous man, donating to dozens of charities over the years not the least of which was Allied Jewish Appeal.  Among his many joys in life were good books, good food, the New York Times crossword puzzle, his lifelong and new found friends and his family.  He is survived by his wife Rina, his sons Brian (Stacey) Rothaus, Rick (Portia) Weiss, Mike Weiss, his late daughter Rona Gale Rothaus and his brother Perry (Judy) Rothaus.  He was the loving grandfather to Samantha, Zachary and Paige Rothaus, Sarah (Maor) Weiss Rozalis, Sean, Madison and Remmington Weiss, and the late Joshua Weiss.  He was also survived by two great-grandchildren, Mia Maginnis and Joshua Rozalis.  Myron will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
