Simon’s Soiree had nothing but charitable thoughts at heart for its “Affair of the Heart,” held at the Sheraton Valley Forge. Close to 400 people attended and helped raise some $200,000 for Simon’s Fund, named after Simon Sudman, who died of an undisclosed heart ailment while a toddler. The organization was started by his parents, Darren and Phyllis, in 2005 to help pay for children’s heart screenings and to educate the public about the need to be on the alert for heart ailments in youngsters. On board with the soiree are (back, from left) board members Eric Haron, Scott Brucker, Ken Fair, David Shipon and Mark Koenig. Also (front, from left): Mitch Bednoff, Bonnie Rothenstein, Phyllis and Darren Sudman, Amy
Margulies, Adam Kaye and Craig Nurick.
