Classical Piano Performance

Join us as pianist Jacqueline Faiman and cellist Michal Schmidt perform a recital including music by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, and Debussy.

Jacqueline Faiman, pianist and BAI congregant, has performed to critical acclaim in numerous solo and chamber music settings from Washington, D.C. to Jerusalem. She has performed in festivals in Aspen, Sarasota, Banff and Nice and participated in a USAID performance tour of Spain. Ms. Faiman holds a Bachelors of Music from Oberlin Conservatory and a Doctorate of Musical Arts from Peabody Conservatory.

Michal Schmidt is adjunct cello faculty at Haverford College, Bryn Mawr College and the University of Pennsylvania. She is a member of numerous performing groups in the Philadelphia area. Ms. Schmidt has studied at the Rubin Music Academy in Israel, the Royal Academy of Music in London, the Curtis Institute of Music, and completed the Doctoral of Musical Arts degree at Temple University. She champions new works by American and Israeli composers. Ms. Schmidt has established the Tribute recital series in Philadelphia, whose programs highlight music written by her colleagues as well as important musical anniversaries.
