Center City Lunch & Learn: Lawyers & Ethics in Film

November 13, 2013 12:00 PM

Center City Lunch & Learn: Lawyers & Ethics in Film at Schnader, Harrison, Segal & Lewis

Taught by Rabbi Adam Zeff of Germantown jewish Centre & guest lecturers from the Film World

Monthly continuing November 13 (also meets Dec 4, Jan 8, Feb 5 & Mar 5)

Films often hold a mirror up to society by reflecting current ethical issues on the big screen.  The drama and intensity of the courtroom and the role of lawyers often figure prominently in such films.  In this 6-session class, we will examine portrayals of ethical issues facing lawyers in film, seeing how Jewish ethics might be able to shed light on the dilemmas that are framed and the choices that are made by the characters and what this might teach us about our own dilemmas and choices. Advanced registration necessary, GJC Members $150 / Non-Members $200 (Lunch & Texts Included). Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit for PA lawyers is available through the Penn Law School Center on Professsionalism for an additional $100 for the full year or $75 for any three sessions. CLE fees must be paid separately directly to the Center of Prof.
