Col. (Ret.) and Mrs. Jeffrey D. Felder announce the graduation of their son, Lt. Col. Scott A. Felder, from the U.S. Army War College as a distinguished graduate with a master’s degree in strategic studies. Felder was commissioned as a distinguished military graduate of Vanderbilt University’s College of Engineering, summa cum laude, and earned his law degree from the University of Virginia, where he was a Dillard Fellow and member of the Order of the Coif. He is a distinguished graduate of the Judge Advocate General’s Officer Basic and Advanced Courses and of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. He is a partner at Wiley Rein, LLP.
Shoshana Shira Twersky of Bala Cynwyd was awarded a doctor of psychology degree in clinical psychology from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine at its graduate programs commencement ceremony on July 31 at the Kimmel Center for Performing Arts.
Shoshana Twersky is the daughter of Yitzchak Twersky of Jerusalem, Israel and Renee Shavel of Chester, N.H. and the wife of Michael Schulz of Bala Cynwyd.
She earned a bachelor of arts degree in liberal arts in 2004 and a master of arts degree in community and social psychology in 2005 from the University of Massachusetts.
Sam and Sandy Savitz are proud to announce the graduation of their grandson, Zachary Senzer, from the University of Delaware. Zach graduated summa cum laude, receiving an honors Bachelor of Science with distinction. He was also recognized as the department of computer and information science’s outstanding senior student.
Zach is the son of Richard and Deborah Senzer (née Savitz) and the brother of Benjamin. Joining the celebration is grandmother Norma Senzer, wife of the late Harry Senzer.
Zach is headed to California to work for Google as a product manager.
Howard and Nilsa Kail of Sarasota, Fla. (formerly of Philadelphia and Bucks County) proudly announce the graduation of their son, Robert Howard Kail. Robert received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Florida. Prior to graduation, the university awarded him a gold medal for his achievements in the study of American Sign Language.
Robert plans to pursue a master’s degree in business following graduation.
Arielle Yacker, daughter of Scott and Shira Lipton Yacker, both originally from Philadelphia, will graduate Easton Area High School on June 12, 2017.
Arielle is attending the Joint Program at Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary in the fall where she will study pre-med and Jewish history.
Elaine and Doug Arch of Huntingdon Valley and Ventnor, N.J., announce the graduation of their son Mitchell Stuart Arch from The Villanova University Executive Master of Business Administration Program.
Mitchell is a CPA and graduate of Lower Moreland High School and Penn State University. He is manager, corporate accounting, at Aqua America Inc.
Mitchell is the grandson of Fritzi Arch and the late Harold Arch. He is also the grandson of the late Beatrice Friedman and the late Morris Friedman.
Jerry and Florence Sirken of Mt. Laurel, N.J., announce the graduation of their granddaughter, Melissa Sara Sirken, from The Pennsylvania State University at University Park in art education. She is also a graduate of Lower Moreland High School and the I.M. Wise program at the Jewish Community High School of Gratz College, where she earned a Reform teaching certificate.
Melissa will be pursuing a career in primary education and graduate school in the future. Sharing in the joy are her parents, David and Marietta Sirken, and brother Joshua of Huntingdon Valley. Melissa is also the granddaughter of Marina and the late Romulo Faderanga.
Brian Footer has been awarded a Master of Laws in taxation from Villanova Law School. Brian received a Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and a B.A. in economics from Colby College.
He served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Mark I. Bernstein and the Honorable Frederica Massiah Jackson in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and held positions in large Delaware and Philadelphia area law firms. He is the managing member of Footer and Associates LLC, a firm offering tax and legal services.
Brian is a frequent speaker and lecturer for the CPA Continuing Education Society of Pennsylvania. Sharing in celebrating his graduation are his wife, Amanda; his parents, Binnie and Elliott Footer; and his brother, Evan Footer.
