Joan and Ted Borowsky of Lafayette Hill and Jodi and Gary Nack of Richboro announce the engagement of their children Lisa Borowsky and Bryan Nack.

Lisa received a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications with minors in history and communications and culture from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind. She is a media buyer at Marketing Performance Group in Boca Raton, Fla.

Bryan received a bachelor’s of science in biology from the Pennsylvania State University in State College and is a summa cum laude graduate of the Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. He is an oral and maxillofacial surgery resident at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Sharing in their happiness are Lisa and Bryan’s grandparents, Laurie Wagman of Philadelphia, Emmie and Howard Shubin of Lake Worth, Fla., formally of Huntingdon Valley, and Fran Bitman of Naples, Fla. Lisa is also the granddaughter of the late Irvin J. Borowsky and Suzanne and Arthur Bodenheimer.

Bryan is also the grandson of the late Arthur Nack, Harold Bitman and Burton Serney.

Siblings Julie and Alison Borowsky and Jennifer Nack, along with many cousins and friends, are all thrilled to celebrate.

Lisa and Bryan met in 2011 in Prague during study abroad programs. They are planning a September 2017 wedding.

Caitlin is a graduate of Harriton High School and Lehigh University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism with a minor in psychology. She received a master’s in clinical social work from Widener University. She is a certified sex therapist, Gestalt therapist and relationship expert in private practice in Philadelphia who writes the “Modern Sex; Dating and Mating in a Complex World” blog for Psychology Today.

Calvin is a graduate of the Rubin Wishkin High School and Temple University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. He received a master’s in Jewish and Holocaust studies at Touro College in New York City and is a Ph.D. candidate in history at Lehigh University. Calvin is an adjunct professor in history and writing at Temple University and Rutgers University.

Caitlin is the daughter of the late Gilbert M. Cantor of Philadelphia; the granddaughter of the late Hyman D. and Selma Rothkopf; and the late Iva and Alan Cantor. Calvin is the grandson of Elizabeth Tesler of Philadelphia and the late Naum Tesler; and the late Izya and Sara Zhilovetsky.

The couple will have an August 2017 wedding at The Barnes Foundation.




Frances Wolfson of Lehigh Valley and Erik Wolfson of the Washington, D.C., area announce the engagement of their daughter, Ali Wolfson, to Jason Hoffman, son of Jimmy and Karen Hoffman of Penn Valley.

Ali graduated from Temple University Beasley School of Law. Jason holds a Bachelor of Arts in history with a minor in Judaic studies from Franklin and Marshall College. The couple lives in Bala Cynwyd.

Ali is the granddaughter of the late Joseph Patrick and Marilyn Donahue of Langhorne, and Lee and Patricia Wolfson of Levittown.

Jason is the grandson of Ken and Myra Strausfeld of Warren, N.J., and Rita and the late Victor Hoffman of Glenside.

The couple is planning a winter 2019 wedding.




Nancy and Malcolm Thaler of New York City and Nancy and Michael Feldman of Brookville, N.Y. announce the engagement of their children, Jonathan Emanuel Thaler and Tracey Brooke Feldman.

Jon graduated from Amherst College with a bachelor’s degree in physics and music. He is a medical student at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Tracey graduated from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor’s degree in cognitive studies. She is a social worker at Mount Sinai Hospital.

The two met playing football in New York City through ZogSports. A May 2017 wedding is planned.
