Keneseth Israel, founded in March 1847, was the fourth congregation to be established by the expanding Jewish community of Philadelphia. Orthodox in observance at first, KI adopted reform in 1855, and thus became the first progressive congregation

Sandra Didner, the author of "The Conspiracies of Dreams" will be at KI to discuss her novel which is based on an event that happened to the author’s husband’s family. 

Copies of the book are available in the Meyers Library. You may purchase autographed copies at the May 5 program. Sandy will donate $3 from each book purchased to the Meyers Library.
