Join Old York Road Temple – Beth Am for an exciting Harry z’l and Evelyn Silver Artist-in-Residence weekend with music by Rabbi Noam Katz.  Rabbi Noam Katz is one of the most exciting voices in contemporary Jewish music.  He is a song leader, performer, prayer leader, educator and storyteller!

 

Friday, March 8

7:00 p.m

Musical Erev Shabbat Service with Noam Katz, our T’fillah band and adult and junior choirs.

 

8:00 p.m. -“Pearls of Africa” the story of the Abayudaya Jews of Uganda.  In 2003 Noam embarked on the most exciting journey of his life, spending three months with this community.  He shares their powerful story and music with us, incorporating the message of Jewish unity and Tikkun Olam.

 

Saturday, March 9

9:00 a.m. - Torah study with Rabbi Noam Katz

10:15 a.m. - Combined Shabbat B’Yachad and Adult service led by Rabbi Noam Katz with participation of youth and adults followed by Kiddush.

7:00 p.m.-  Join us for Havdallah and concert with Noam and his band!  Buy CDs and have them signed by the artist.

 

Sunday, March 10

9:30 a.m. - Bagels and schmear for all followed by T’fillah 2.0 with Rabbi Katz. How can adults find meaning in contemporary prayers?
