Andrew Noah Schloss, 23, Journalist
Andrew Noah Schloss, 23, a columnist and sportswriter for The Wilton Bulletin, died March 23, following a seven-month battle with leukemia. He was a resident of Wilton, Conn.
A graduate of Wilton High School and a four-year member of the wrestling team, Schloss graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Rochester in 2006.
He served internships with the Maltese delegation to the European Union parliament in Brussels during his junior year abroad and with the American Numismatic Society in New York City during several summer breaks.
He received many academic prizes at every level of education.
Schloss continued his studies at the University of Strasbourg to prepare for a career in international relations and development, and was about to enter the international-relations program at the Institut d'études Politiques de Paris when he became ill.
He spent many summers at Camp Ramah in the Poconos and traveled to Israel with the Ramah seminar program. He enjoyed traveling, reading and The New York Timescrossword puzzles.
Schloss is survived by his parents, Larry and Sally Bergwerk Schloss; a sister, Margot Schloss; a brother, Robert Schloss; and his grandparents, Rudolf and Miriam Bergwerk. He was predeceased by grandparents Leonard and Vivienne Schloss.
