About the artists:

Saul Sudin is a writer and filmmaker advocating a new voice for Judaism in the movies. Recently he co-produced the documentary Punk Jews and directed Names, Not Numbers, which has been inducted into the National Library of Israel and the Yeshiva University Museum. He has been profiled in The New Yorker, The Huffington Post, and Haaretz and his films have been featured at the Museum of Fine Art – Boston and the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York, among others. Saul will present on his recent films and give insight into his inspiration and process in his work. www.saulsudin.com

Elke Reva Sudin is a visual artist who draws inspiration from urban culture and her Jewish heritage. She received critical acclaim for her “Hipsters and Hassids” painting series and has been featured in publications such as The New Yorker, New York Press, Haaretz, EL PAÍS, The WG News, The Hartford Courant, World Net Daily, The Jewish Week, and Tablet Magazine. Elke will present on her paintings that mix contemporary life and a Jewish identity including works from her new series "We Are Patriarchs" that relates contemporary subjects to biblical character archetypes, now on exhibition in New York. www.elkerevasudin.com
