Community members are encouraged to take part in a national emergency solidarity mission to Israel organized by the Jewish Federations of North America that will begin this coming Monday, Aug. 18.
Our Federation will participate in a national emergency solidarity mission to Israel organized by the Jewish Federations of North America.
Members of the Greater Philadelphia Jewish community are encouraged to be a part of this amazing journey, which will begin on Monday, Aug. 18, in Tel Aviv and conclude on Thursday, Aug. 21.
Program highlights will include:
- Meetings with people in the southern communities of Israel who are directly in the line of fire from Hamas rocket attacks;
- Conversations with beneficiaries of services made possible by Federation campaign dollars;
- Visits with soldiers who defend Israel;
- Opportunities to console the families of those who have lost loved ones during the conflict and express thanks to the men and women who have volunteered their time as caregivers during these past several weeks.

Land costs are $1,150 per person double occupancy and $370 for a single supplement (exclusive of air). This includes transfers from the airport, three nights in a hotel and most meals. Accommodations will be at the Dan Tel Aviv and Holiday Inn Hotel, Ashkelon.
There is no minimum gift to participate. Space is limited.
