Join Paul R. Levy, the president and CEO of Philadelphia’s Center City District, for a behind-the-scenes look at the progress on Dilworth Park at City Hall.
Join members of Jewish Federation Real Estate (JFRE) for a behind-the-scenes look at Dilworth Park at City Hall, the most transformed public-space project in Philadelphia’s history. Paul R. Levy, the president and CEO of Philadelphia’s Center City District, will discuss the project and lead guests on a hard-hat tour.
Begun in 2011, the renovation of Dilworth Plaza is targeted for completion later this year. The project will include such features as a green civic space with a café with indoor and outdoor seating; an interactive fountain animated by public art; a gathering space for concerts, special events, public markets and winter ice-skating and a gateway to the region’s underground public transportation network.
The program, complimentary to JFRE members and those who contribute $1000 or more to either the Jewish Community Fund or the JFRE Fund for 2013 or 2014, begins with a continental breakfast to be served at Centre Square West, 1500 Market Street, 18th Floor, beginning at 7:30 a.m. Dietary laws will be observed. Non-members will be charged a $50 couvert. Discounted parking is available at Parkway’s Liberty Place garage, 20 South 16th Street, between Chestnut and Ludlow Streets.
JFRE leadership, which includes chair, Robert Zuritsky, program chairs, Steven H. Gartner and Gregg J. Wallace, and event chairs, Ben Appel and Dan Sablosky, anticipate a strong turnout for the event and encourage RSVPs by July 22nd. Register at jewishphilly.org/JFRE.
