Community leaders paid tribute to Alex Stroker as he finishes an 18-year tenure with the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and moves on to a new position at a local day school.
Alex Stroker wore many hats in his 18-year tenure with the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. He served with boundless energy and creativity in such diverse roles as vice president of marketing, chief operating officer and interim CEO, just to name a few.
Recently, staff and volunteer leaders who worked with Alex to help advance Federation’s mission took time last week — his last at Federation — to attend a cocktail reception in his honor.
Under a backdrop of photos depicting key events in his years of service, several guests took to the microphone to pay tribute to their friend and colleague.
Some of the remarks were humorous, others poignant. And all expressed heartfelt gratitude for his efforts to make the local and global Jewish community stronger and more vibrant.
Yasher Koach, Alex.
May you go from strength to strength in your new role as chief operations and development officer at the Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy.
