American Airlines receives the Yitzhak Rabin Public Service Award, presented by the Philadelphia-Israel Chamber of Commerce.
American Airlines Group and its subsidiary, US Airways, were honored with the Yitzhak Rabin Public Service Award at ceremonies presented on April 8 by the Philadelphia-Israel Chamber of Commerce at the Crystal Tea Room.
Robert Isom, executive vice president and COO, accepted the award, named after the slain prime minister of Israel. The annual honor targets a business luminary "who has made significant contributions to strengthen the greater Philadelphia region's commercial and research ties with Israel."
In presenting the award, Richard Bendit, president of the PICC, cited "American's substantial investment at the Philadelphia International Airport and in our local communities, and the dedicated hard work by American's team based in Philadelphia, which have been integral to the growth of economic and business ties between the greater Philadelphia region and Israel."
