The veteran Israeli-American folk rock group played several fan favorites and a few new songs from an album that is set to be released soon.
Veteran Israeli-American folk rock group, the Moshav Band, played an unplugged set at the World Cafe Live in Center City on March 5.
Led by core members Yehuda Solomon and Duvid Swirsky, the Moshav Band has seen a revolving door of musicians since its founding in 1995.
Though they are known for playing rocking live sets, often with a large band of seven or eight musicians, only three members arrived in Philadelphia to play a stripped down set that included favorites such as "Come Back" and "Streets of Jerusalem." They also played a new song they recorded with Matisyahu called "World on Fire."
Solomon said the group has finished recording a new album that will be released in the near future.
"It's great to be back in Philly," he told the crowd. "Thanks for coming out tonight and for believing in us."
