The evening will honor the women who contribute at least $1,800 to the Jewish Community Fund and feature investigative reporter Lu Ann Cahn as keynote speaker.
Lu Ann Cahn, investigative reporter for NBC 10 Philadelphia, will be the keynote speaker at the Women’s Philanthropy (WP) Pomegranate Event on Tuesday, April 8, 7 p.m., at a private home. The evening, which honors the generous women of our community who make a minimum contribution of $1,800 to the Jewish Community Fund, is co-chaired by Karen Dayno and Donna Harris.
Cahn, an eight-time Emmy Award winner, is most admired and respected by viewers for her bravery in documenting and sharing her personal story of battling breast cancer.
Cahn will talk about her quest to do one new thing every day of the year, the premise behind her recently released book, I Dare Me. She will discuss what all women can gain from her personal journey.
“The Pomegranate Event is a wonderful opportunity for philanthropic women who care about our Jewish community to come together for a fun and inspirational evening,” says Susan Schwartz, WP President. Schwartz emphasizes that the event is designed for women of all ages and encourages all those interested in learning more about this or other WP events to call Marni Davis.
The couvert for the evening is $50 and includes cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. All guests will have an opportunity to make their gift to the 2014 Jewish Community Fund.
