The second annnual Bubby's Cook-Off heated up at Vie, with proceeds for a good cause.
They came, they cooked — they ate. That was the essence — or essen! — of the second annual Bubby’s Cook-Off presented by the Lubavitch of Bucks County at Vie.
At this local version of the kosher-cooking Oscars, there were chef tastings, a dessert face-off and samplings, and chef awards, with proceeds benefitting the Friendship Circle Foundation and Lubavitch of Bucks County.
Among the judges were chef/author Hope Cohen and broadcast icon Marciarose Shestack.
Laura Frangiosa, co-owner and proprietor of The Avenue Delicatessen, was named People’s Choice winner. Julia Deppe, executive chef, Pure Sweets & Co., took it home in the sweets department.
The event was staged in partnership with Citron and Rose and the Jewish Exponent.
