Despite a snow storm, scores of people attended a musical salon at an area synagogue.
Despite a recent snowstorm, scores of music fans trekked to Main Line Reform Temple for a special salon featuring an eclectic cast of stellar musicians.
Andrea Clearfield, an award-winning composer who grew up attending the synagogue with her parents, hosted the event.
Apart from the synagogue gig, Clearfield — recently named a Jewish Exponent Mitzvah Hero — opens her own Center City loft to up-and-coming musicians and composers throughout the year. Her salons have generated much attention from area musical cognescenti. Details of the salons, held without admission fees and usually with not much advance notice, go out to Clearfield's highly selective membership list.
Clearfield is scheduled to host another salon at Main Line Reform Temple on March 23.
