A local travel agency executive will head to Sochi, Russia, to judge figure skating at the Winter Olympics.
Rob Rosenbluth — a scion of the prominent local Rosenbluth family, whose name has been associated with the travel business for generations — has been named a figure skating judge at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. The games, to be telecast on NBC, begin on Feb. 7.
Rosenbluth began his travel career in 1986, working for the family business. His experience as a competitive skater started a year before that and includes winning a silver medal in the Universiade in Belluno, Italy. By the turn of the century, Rosenbluth was making a name for himself as a skating judge, with gigs worldwide.
Rosenbluth currently serves as an account manager with Protravel International. He is the son of Irwin C. and Carole M. Rosenbluth Saft and the late Joseph W. Rosenbluth.
