Mark Aronchick is saluted by JSPAN for his work in human rights and equality.
The Jewish Social Policy Action Network (JSPAN) added depth to the maxim “with justice for all” in its choice for the Social Justice Award: attorney/human rights activist Mark A. Aronchick, chosen because his “life work fulfills the mission of advocacy, education and action in pursuit of social justice and tikkun olam.”
Among his many credits, the honoree is a former chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association and a 1971 honors graduate of the University of Pennnsylvania. Serving during William J. Green's mayoral administration that began in 1980, Aronchick was Philadelphia's youngest city solicitor ever.
He received his honor at a special JSPAN event.
