County Club Charity Day Supports Program for Autistic Adults

An annual "Charity Day" at Meadowland County Club benefitted a program that helps those with autism integrate into society.

The Meadowlands Country Club raised $29,000 from a golf outing, dinner and an auction at this year's "Charity Day," which will go to the Adult Autism Community at Melmark, home of the Chris Maurer Vocational Program. This program provides training and opportunities for young men and women with autism to integrate into general society.

Double-downing on their commitment, the country club asked one of the young adults in the program to work in tandem with its golf personnel during the summer.
