The Philadelphia Holocaust Remembrance Foundation is moving forward with plans to redevelop and significantly enhance the Philadelphia Holocaust Memorial at the head of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
The project is supported by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the City of Philadelphia, the Fairmount Park Commission, and a cross-section of Philadelphia's public, civic and corporate leaders.
The memorial serves as a gathering place for remembrance, awareness, education and shared discourse.
Significant funding, time and resources have been pledged toward the proposed new memorial. To date, the foundation has raised $3 million from individual, pubic and private sources for the project.
