Leonard Jordan Levick, 89, a physician, died Aug. 24.
Levick graduated from Jefferson Medical College in 1946 and took his internship and residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Northern Division, in Philadelphia. He was also a retired captain in the U.S. Army.
Feeling the need for a greater challenge, Levick took a year off to study at Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York and M.D. Anderson Hospital in Texas. He then joined forces with his brother, Stanley N. Levick, an oncologist, and together they established an oncology and hematology practice in Philadelphia.
He retired to Florida in 1986.
In addition to his brother, Levick is survived by his wife of 68 years, Myra Levick; daughters Bonnie Cossrow, Karen Gomer and Marsha Levick; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
