Morris Zacher, Businessman and Teacher of Religion, Dies at 71


Morris Zacher, 71, a businessman and religion teacher, died Sept. 22. He was a resident of Bryn Mawr.

The owner of an amusement company, Zacher served as an adjunct teacher of religion at Arcadia, Rowan and Temple universities.

Zacher graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Penn's School of Law.

He also earned master's degrees in religious studies at Temple University and at Gratz College.

Along with his many accomplishments, Zacher served in the Armed Forces, where he was awarded the National Jewish Welfare Board Annual Award.

He is survived by his wife, the former Linda Genel; daughters Samantha Zacher and Rebecca Zacher; and a brother, Jules Zacher.
