Interested in taking a trip to the "Bermuda Avenue Triangle," where audiences in the past have gotten lost in the laughs?
Renee Taylor and Joe Bologna – with Lainie Kazan joining them for the ride – return here three years after their other voyage-oriented title "If You Ever Leave Me … I'm Going With You."
And "On the Scene" has first-class passenger seats for three lucky contest winners and a guest each to this Sunday's "Bermuda" matinee at Wilmington's DuPont Theatre.
Longtime husband-and-wife Bologna and Taylor have teamed many times on stage nationally as writers and actors. Their screenplay for "Lovers and Other Strangers" scooped up an Oscar nomination in 1970. Their TV script for "Acts of Love and Other Comedies" took home an Emmy Award.
And Kazan … The actress/singer who started her professional life as understudy for Barbra Streisand in "Funny Girl" has starred in numerous films ("My Big Fat Greek Wedding") and TV shows, and has carved a success out of her nightclub work as a singer.
Opening a 10-day run Jan. 20, "Triangle" revolves around two elderly women who fall for a charmingly roguish con man, Johnny Paolucci (Bologna).
