Lois G. Levine Annual Cultural Arts Weekend

Jan. 11-13. Adath Emanu-El, 205 Elbo Lane, Mt Laurel,
Israeli dancing and songs, ice sculpture, fabric art and Judaica highlight the events held in honor of Adath Emanu-El’s first rebbitzen. Fri. Shabbat service, Sat. events begin at 6:30 p.m., Sun. events at 1 p.m. 

Alzheimer’s Detection & Prevention

Jan. 15 at 10 a.m. Cherry Hill Public Library, 1100 Kings Highway North, Cherry Hill. Free event but reservations are required. 1-877-981-BLUE
Dr. Joshua Steinerman, a cognitive neuropsychiatrist with CRI Lifetree and Alzheimer’s expert, leads a seminar on brain fitness, recognizing signs of disease and prevention strategies. 

MLK Celebration & Weekend Of Service

Jan. 18 – 20. M’Kor Shalom, 850 Evesham Road, Cherry Hill,
Shabbat service features guest speaker Rev. Dr. DeForest Soaries, author and former NJ Secretary of State. Weekend events include painting, cooking, sewing and clean up at IHOC in Lawnside, Boys & Girls Club of Camden County and Habitat for Humanity. 

Mitzvah Day

Jan. 20 at 8:30 a.m. Temple Sinai, 2101 New Albany Road, Cinnaminson,
Community service projects include sewing for Project Linus, packing canned goods at JRA, painting hats for ill children, making doggy snacks for an animal shelter and cooking for women in shelters and kids in Head Start.

Super Sunday

Jan. 27 from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Super Week

Jan. 27 – 31. Katz JCC, 1301 Springdale Road, Cherry Hill,
Sponsor, volunteer and donate to Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey’s annual campaign, which funds vital programs and services in the region, in Israel and in 70 countries.  

Third Annual Gourmet Wine and Dine

Feb. 10 at 5:30 p.m. $75 per person. Katz JCC, 1301 Springdale Road, Cherry Hill,
Two of Philadelphia’s original celebrity chefs, Robert Bennett, now with Classic Cake and Philippe Chin, whose eponymous bistro is in Somers Point, prepare a 3-course French-Asian feast.
