Presented by Hazon, a local twist on Hazon’s successful national, multi-day Food Conference, this Food Festival is a unique, one-day taste of the local Jewish Food Movement.
The Food Festival, held at Congregation Rodeph Shalom , is a day for Philadelphia area foodies, rabbis, restaurateurs, chefs, farmers, educators, vegans, and omnivores to come together to explore the interplay of food, sustainability, Jewish traditions, and contemporary life.
The festival will include:
- One day of inspiring lectures and discussions,
- Expert cooking demonstrations and DIY projects,
- Fun kids and family activities and
- A delicious, kosher lunch
The Festival will take place Sunday, October 20, 2013. Doors open at 9:30am and activities begin with morning services and yoga.
At the festival, vendors and organizations show off their wares and spread the word to a crowd of passionate foodies and food-concerned consumers. The Shuk features local Philadelphia purveyors, where you can taste and purchase local, sustainable food, art and other goods.
