HERMAN “OZZY”, long-time Wyndmoor resident, died March 10, 2014 in Abington, PA at age 84. Born in Germantown to Morris and Bertha Osterneck, he is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Cordalie Benoit Osterneck his sons Alex, Julian, and Malcolm, and his 6 grandchildren, Joshua, Lily, Caroline, Julian Jr., Charlie and Viv.
Affectionately known as “Ozzy” in business, theatre, jazz and little-league, he built a successful career as a manufacturer-representative. “Ozzy” was a loving and devoted father, son, grandfather, friend and advisor to many people in many walks of life.
Born Dec. 8, 1929, he travelled on business and pleasure to Europe, the U.K. and the Middle East. He was passionately devoted to his family, cinema, his tenor sax, his cello, computers, photography, and world-affairs. He was one of a kind and will always be admired, respected and loved.
