JEFFREY MATT KORNBLAU, was born in Flushing, NY on May 2, 1957.  He attended Francis Lewis High School and graduated magna cum laude from Boston University in 1979 where he was the president of the student body and obtained bachelor of science degrees in political science and history.  Following graduation, JEFF headed off to Washington, DC where he worked for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.  Wanting to further his education, JEFF attended Temple University School of Law.  There he met his wife, Lynn Sare Kornblau (from Scranton, PA) and together they secured their juris doctor degrees from Temple in 1982, and decided to stay in Philadelphia. After being admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Jeff entered the practice of civil litigation at Wolk & Jacob.  There he trained under Arthur Alan Wolk, Esquire, of aviation litigation fame, providing compassion representation to victims of catastrophic injuries. In 1985, Jeff opened his own civil litigation law firm in Philadelphia and Scranton, continuing to fight for those who have suffered misfortune.  His practice expanded rapidly and in 1987, he again partnered with his wife to establish Kornblau, Kornblau and Solomon which continues to thrive in Jenkintown, Philadelphia and Scranton, along with Jeff's son, Adam, who entered the practice in 2012.  JEFF tried major civil litigation cases in state and federal courts throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey and concentrated his practice in catastrophic injury litigation.  Beginning in 2010, JEFF and his son,  JONATHAN, established Golden Corral franchise restaurants in Bensalem, PA and Audubon, NJ.  While most of his time was devoted to his busy legal practice and restaurants, Jeff also remained active in politics over the years.  He supported progressive causes and worked tirelessly in support of candidates that believe in good government. Jeff and Lynn first settled in Neshaminy Valley, PA and later moved to Huntingdon Valley where they live today.  They have two sons, Jonathon and Adam.  Jeff is the son of Roslyn and the late Harold Kornblau and brother to Marc Kornblau and Alan Kornblau.  As a young family, they became lifetime members of Congregation Tifereth Israel of Lower Bucks County and Beth Sholom Congregation of Elkins Park, PA.  There Jeff served on the Synagogue's Board.  Jeff and Lynn dedicated the Judy Sare Education Center of Congregation Tifereth Israel in loving memory of Lynn's sister. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Jeffrey M. Kornblau Memorial Fund at Abramson Cancer Center, 3535 Market Street, Suite 750, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
