KI Blue Bell Extends Rosh Hashanah Service to one and All!

September 5, 2013 3:00 PM-4:30 PM

Recognizing that most families prefer to meet a congregation before considering religious school, or even membership, KI Blue Bell invites the public to attend a Community Rosh Hashanah Family Service on September 5th.

“While our congregation maintains deep roots in our community, we encourage both change and growth,” said Kleinman. “And as those who visit us on September 5th for our High Holy Day celebration will discover, we also embrace the joy to be found in this and other events hosted by our congregation.”

Although reservations are required, there is no cost to attend the service, which will include arts and crafts projects, familiar High Holy Day music, and a dessert buffet.  The event is geared toward families with children ages 3-10.

Guests will have the opportunity to experience the warm and child-friendly congregation. KI Blue Bell has been a welcoming environment to traditional, interfaith, and non-traditional families since the Blue Bell campus opened its doors seven years ago. KI’s main campus in Elkins Park was founded in 1847.

The service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the Normandy Farm Grand Ballroom located at 1401 Morris Rd Blue Bell, PA 19422

ABOUT KI BLUE BELL:

Keneseth Israel was founded in 1847 in response to the need of the growing Jewish population in the Philadelphia area.  Over the next 158 years, the congregation grew even more and its members spread out over Montgomery County.  Due to the migration of members into the Blue Bell area, KI opened a second campus in Blue Bell in 2005.  The congregation currently leases space from St. John Lutheran Church at 1802 Skippack Pike, Blue Bell.  Ki Blue Bell offers monthly family-friendly Shabbat services, an engaging religious school accredited by the Reform Movement’s National Association of Temple Educators, and enriching educational and social programs.
