The challahs are freshly baked (the best kind), come in a variety of flavors from chocolate chip to rosemary and garlic, and are baked thanks to those involved with STEP-Up, JFCS’ program that “provides employment training and work experience to individuals with disabilities.”

Gratz College has received an endowment gift of about $1 million, which was announced at the college’s Jeffrey B. Plevan Annual Gala and bequeathed by Berenice Abrams, a 1936 alumna, in memory of her parents.

One of Jewish Federation’s most successful projects, Orr Shalom runs 21 group homes throughout Israel. It provides a safe, secure and loving home for children ages 2 to 18 that must be taken from their biological parents due to abuse, neglect, emotional issues and other problems.
