The War Within

March 30, 2014 9:00 AM

This program will feature a new book by co-authors Lawrence Malkin and Yuval Elizur.  The pair recently authored The War Within: Israel’s Ultra-Orthodox Threat to Democracy and the Nation and, in their important volume, the authors open our eyes to the internal threat to the Zionist dream and to Israel’s future. Lawrence Malkin, who will represent the duo at Main Line Reform, is a prize-winning foreign correspondent for Time and The International Herald Tribune. He was assigned to Jerusalem and the West Bank during the Six-Day War. He is also the author of several books, including Kreuger’s Men (the inspiration for the Oscar-Winning Film The Counterfeiters). Anyone interested in the future of the State of Israel is cordially invited to attend. Light breakfast served at 9:00 am; the Hassel lecture begins at 9:30 am.
