The Klein Center City Senior Program will host its weekly Shabbat program from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Jewish Community Services Building in Center City.
• Open the morning with coffee, tea and munchies while schmoozing with friends.
• At 8:30 a.m., meet with RN Angela Geiger for blood pressure screening and more.
• SOWN (Supportive Older Women's Network) will host a meeting at 8:45 a.m.
• Join in for chair exercise or a current events program at 10:30 a.m.
Rabbi Beth Janus will lead a 10:30 a.m. Kabbalat Shabbat service, followed by a hot kosher lunch from Betty the Caterer. On the menu: chicken matzah ball soup, roasted chicken leg wioth red wine demiglaze, baked potato, broccoli, challah roll and birth cake in celebration of May birthdays.
Dick Levinson of Central Senior Services of the Gree Libary of Philadelphia will share all of the latest options the library has to offer for older adults, followed by a most entertaining talk on "Presidential Health."
