Keneseth Israel, founded in March 1847, was the fourth congregation to be established by the expanding Jewish community of Philadelphia. Orthodox in observance at first, KI adopted reform in 1855, and thus became the first progressive congregation

'Chapters of the Heart'

The Meyers Library of Reform Congergation Keneseth Israel will continue its Visiting Authors Series with Rabbi Sue Levi Elwell and Rabbi nancy Fuchs Kreimer, authors of Chapters of the Heart — Jewish Women Sharing the Torah of Our Lives.

Rabbis Elwell and Fuchs Kreimer will moderate a panel discussion. Panelists include Dr. Barbara Breitman, Dr. Ellen Frankel, Rabbi Julile Greenberg, Rabbi Vivian Mayer and Rabbi Sheila Weinberg.

Bring your friends and family. Refresments will be served.

No charge. Copies of Chapters of the Heart will be availble for purchase.
