Discussion on Jewish Identity

November 19, 2013 7:30 PM-9:30 PM

The Keruv committee of Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El invites the community to a viewing of the short film The Tribe — An Unorthodox, Unauthorized History of the Jewish People (tribethefilm.com), as well as a discussion on the topic of our evolving Jewish community.

For both Jews and non-Jews in our community - what does being a part of the American Jewish people mean to you? What makes it important to raise our children Jewish? How do you define yourself as a Jew? What does it mean to travel with the Jewish people, but to not be Jewish? How do we make the non-Jew feel a part of our "Tribe"?
