When my oldest son recently came home with a story about a fight at school, I discovered that explaining the difference between sharing something that happened with a friend and gossiping about something that happened is a delicate distinction.

For some crazy reason, I thought my boys would take to snowboarding better than skiing during our recent winter break trip to the Poconos.

Since my boys love comedy, I've adopted a fairly lax policy on allowing them to hear skits with curse words — but it seems to be working out so far.

The recent media coverage surrounding sexual assault on college campuses reminded me that teaching my sons not to violate women is a lesson I will never shy away from.
